Where Rotaract stories come alive. Everything below is what you agree to when you enter — who may take part, how to enter, how entries are judged, and the consent and copyright terms governing your reel.
Presented by RI District 3233 · Rotary Club of Chennai Silk City · Rotaract Club of AIHT
Fabular is a celebration of Rotaract, and of Rotaractors. One club may have no idea what another is doing. Fabular is a symposium of Rotaract stories, told through the lens of the clubs and the people who live them.
1 Who can participate
Rotaract Clubs and Rotaractors of RI District 3233. A Rotaract club needs no sponsoring Rotary club to enter — many are self-sustaining, and asking would exclude them.
You do not need a professional film crew. Your phone is enough. Your story is what matters.
2 How to enter
1
Register
You do not need your reel ready when you register. Register first and film afterwards.
Plan your story. Gather material — photos, clippings, footage from any year, or several years combined. Tell it in one short reel, horizontal or vertical.
3
Upload your story
Sign in with the mobile number you registered with and upload the finished film to the slot your registration allows.
The fee is per category. It buys entries, not a named Topic: you choose yours during submission, not when you register. You may add the second category at any time before registrations close.

4 How entries are judged
Entries may be evaluated on:

Authenticity

Creativity
Overall impression
A professionally produced reel is not a requirement. The strength of your story, its authenticity and its impact are what count. The judging panel’s decision is final and binding.
5 Originality, copyright and consents
The participant confirms that the submitted entry is original, or that all necessary rights, licences and permissions have been obtained for any third-party material used.
Participants are responsible for obtaining permissions for music, photographs, video footage, artwork, graphics, logos, interviews, performances and other third-party material.
Participants must obtain consent from identifiable people appearing in photographs, videos or interviews.
All facts, claims, statistics and representations must be truthful and accurate. Fabricated or materially misleading content may result in disqualification.
6 Content standards
Entries must not contain defamatory, discriminatory, hateful, obscene, unlawful or otherwise harmful content directed at any person, organisation or community.
The organisers may reject or disqualify an entry that violates these guidelines, contains false or misleading information, infringes third-party rights, or is otherwise unsuitable for the Fabula Awards.
7 Use of submitted entries
By submitting an entry, the participant grants the organisers a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to reproduce, publish, communicate, display, edit, adapt and showcase the entry, in whole or in part, on any platform, physical or digital — for the Fabula Awards, and for Rotary-related publicity, promotion, archival and educational purposes.
This licence does not transfer ownership of the participant’s underlying copyright.
Participants should not include confidential, sensitive or proprietary information unless they have the authority and consent to disclose it.
8 Participant responsibility
The participant is responsible for ensuring the entry complies with these guidelines and that all required rights, permissions and consents have been obtained.
Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless the organisers, Rotary International District 3233, Rotary Club of Chennai Silk City, and their office-bearers, organisers, judges and representatives from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses arising from the participant’s entry — including claims concerning copyright infringement, privacy or publicity rights, lack of consent, defamation, unauthorised third-party material, or breach of these guidelines.
9 Prizes
Prizes will be awarded in the name of the respective Rotary Club / Rotaract Club.
10 Guideline changes
The organisers may amend, modify or update these guidelines where reasonably necessary.
Any material changes will be communicated through the official Fabula Awards communication channels.
